🧪 Active Ingredient & Pharmacological Action

Otriven contains the proven active substance xylometazoline hydrochloride (1 mg/ml), a sympathomimetic with vasoconstrictive effect. It narrows the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, reduces swelling, and facilitates nasal breathing. The effect begins within 2 minutes and lasts for up to 6–8 hours.

📦 Dosage Form & Features

Each box contains 40 preservative-free single-use pipettes of 0.3 ml each – ideal for hygienic use when traveling or for households with multiple users. Not reusable.

✨ Indications

• 🦠 Common cold (rhinitis)
• 🌬️ Vasomotor rhinitis
• 🤧 Allergic rhinitis (e.g., hay fever)
• 🫁 Sinusitis – to support mucus drainage
• 👂 Eustachian tube catarrh associated with colds

👤 Target Group

Suitable for adults and school-aged children (6+ years). Lower-dose versions are available for children aged 2–6 and toddlers under 2 years.

📌 Instructions for Use

• Blow your nose thoroughly before use
• Separate one pipette from the strip and open by twisting the tab
• Hold between thumb and forefinger, tap downward until the chamber fills
• Tilt head back, place tip near (not inside) nostril, gently squeeze one drop
• Repeat for the other nostril
• Do not reuse leftover solution – single-use only
• Use up to 3× per day, for a maximum of 7 days
